Wanting to be Bapateezed

Salibonani!

Things have been fun and the area has been fun and the people we are teaching are powerful.

We have Donald who hopefully will be baptized this week.. he said he wanted to be this week, so hopefully we will find him this week to teach him the last lessons and he comes to the baptism! He comes to church every week but I’ve never actually taught him, it was when Sister Smith was here, but he’s basically a member, he just needs to enter the waters of baptism asap. Because whenever we try to see him he’s not around… so hopefully this week is it!

Esebel is set to be baptized, it’s just the marriage thing. Her and her “husband” are just staying together for the sake of accommodations and she’s looking for a job right now and she might have just found a hook up for a place to stay, so they are having a meeting about it today and we will see her tomorrow to see what the conclusion is!

And we are going to baptize an 11 year old girl named Babongile who has been coming to church with her friends, we just have to hurry and teach her so she can get baptized! and we visited her family yesterday and are going to teach her mother too who seems super interested!

Then there are 2 other girls who have been coming to church that we are going to start teaching this week! People here just show up at church and it is so great because it gives us all these people to teach!!

Then Brother Peter, the 91 year old, talks about how he wants to be “bapateezed” and stuff which is super great and we want to baptize him so bad! But teaching him is hard… because he is so Roman Catholic… and has lots of funny things haha but we love him so much. He is our grandpa haha. 91 year old investigator, Brother PeterWe found him the other day laying outside on a tiny little bench lol he is quite the character! He wasn’t feeling well the other day and it had been going on for a while and we were super worried about him so we lined up for one of the members to give him a priesthood blessing and he has been doing much better ever since! And we taught him how to fist bump and he asked what it means yesterday and we told him it means power! haha

Those are the main people that we have been focusing on lately… things are going well!

A scripture that I studied this week was Doctrine and Covenants 52:15-17. It was talked about in zone meeting on what kind of a missionary we should be, but it not only applies to missionaries, but to everyone of us! And as we strive to have these qualities, the promise in verse 17 will be made manifest and we will be blessed so much!

Love you all and hope you have a wonderful week!

Sister Burt
