Hello everyone!
Needless to say, we had a good week… I’ll start with Tuesday. We had the mission tour thing for Zone conference, which Carl B Cook was came to talk to us at, but he had some delightful visitors with his as well! President and Sister Ashton from the MTC were with him and I was so excited when I saw them get out of the van! I ran right up to them and gave them hugs. It was so great to see them!

During the conference, Elder Cook talked about leadership and unity and how we all need to be united and follow our leaders who are called of God and he also talked about being converted and living the higher law. President and Sister Ashton got to speak to us as well and they shared a scripture that I love. It is in Alma 36:3 when Alma is talking to his son Helaman: “…For I do know that whosoever shall put their trust in God shall be supported in their trials, and their troubles, and their afflictions, and shall be lifted up at the last day.” Trust in God and He will help you and bless you through all of your troubles and afflictions. I have definitely experienced the truth that is taught in that scripture. It is amazing how much our Heavenly Father loves and blesses us. All we have to do is love Him and put our trust in Him.
Other than that, things are going how they usually do! We are working on finding new investigators because we had to drop a bunch of them who weren’t progressing. It makes me sad when people don’t understand the importance of what we are trying to teach them! We do have a powerful investigator now though, named Gibson. he is a soldier and has a baptism date for this Saturday, which is looking very hopeful!
Missionary work is so great! It is hard at times, but it is very rewarding. It is amazing to see the gospel bless people’s lives in so many ways. Missionary work is for everyone!
I love D&C 128:22: “Brethren, shall we not go on in so great a cause? Go forward and not backward. Courage, brethren; and on, on to the victory! Let your hearts rejoice, and be exceedingly glad. Let the earth break forth into singing. Let the dead speak forth anthems of eternal praise to the King Immanuel, who hath ordained, before the world was, that which would enable us to redeem them out of their prison; for the prisoners shall go free.”

I love you all and I love this gospel. I am amazed to see how the Lord blesses His children every day and how the gospel helps us all.
Have a wonderful week!
